All pupils are encouraged to participate, whatever their ability levels and the School runs teams at every age group with fixtures in the Autumn term.

The School has a prestigious fixture list, including playing Eton, Hampton, Charterhouse and Lancing.

The 1st XI also compete in the Elgin Capital Southern Independent School League and in the Boodles ISFA Cup. The School has enjoyed recent success in both competitions.

The School's football programme is overseen by Director of Football, Daniel Abraham. Dan is not only responsible for the development of players during their time at the School, but is also responsible for ensuring that the coaching is of the highest standard.

While School matches are seen as important short-term goals, the emphasis is always on the long-term development of the players, with a great deal of technical coaching in small sided games being given to the younger age groups, while the older teams concentrate on team play and improving player's tactical knowledge. This structure not only ensures that players are able to develop to their potential, but that training is always enjoyable and interesting.

The School's 1st XI players are offered the opportunity to attend psychological workshops to develop their mental fitness, receive advice on nutrition and hydration, work with a Chartered Physiotherapist to develop fitness and conditioning, and are coached by UEFA qualified coaches. 1st XI players from the School are regularly selected for the Independent Schools Under 18 South Representative team.
