Bridewell Foundation Campaign
What is the Bridewell Foundation Campaign?
It is a sustained programme of fundraising that raises money for bursaries and improvement of the School's facilities. In providing additional funds, the Campaign enables the School to remain true to its founding mission of helping young people in need.
Why is the Campaign needed?Traditionally, the School has relied on a wide range of charitable sources to fund its bursary places. Supporters have included educational trusts and foundations, the Corporation of London and municipal and central government. Before the end of the Government's Assisted Places Scheme, the School was able to support up to 80 bursary places with this funding. Other traditional sources of funding have also been squeezed over the last few years due to economic circumstances. The School continues to look for new supporters who wish to share its vision of helping young people in need, both now and in the future.
Currently the school is supporting 115 youngsters utilising Foundation Bursaries, City of London support, Linked Charities, support from Bridewell Fellows, the Annual Giving Fund, the OW scholarship fund and Local Authority finance.
