Help and advice provided by agents normally includes the following:

• Pre-testing (Screening tests) to establish levels of ability in English and Mathematics
• Selection of schools
• Completion of application forms and registration fee payments (Application Form) 
• Supervision of entrance tests (Entrance Tests)
• Visa applications (for non EU countries) (Visa Information)
• Payments of acceptance fees and overseas deposits (Payment)
• Selection and appointment of Guardians (all overseas pupils are required by King Edward’s to have a Guardian in the UK) (Guardian Information)
• Assistance with travel arrangements to and from the UK, including help with transport and collection from UK airports to the School
• Dealing with any problems that may occur during the pupils stay at the School
• Helping parents understand reports and progress reviews provided by the School

Agents do not normally charge for many of these services and they do receive a commission from King Edward's for introducing pupils to the School.

Most agents have to be licensed or accredited by the local government. Some may be accredited by the British Council.
