Sixth Form Team
Although now at the top of the School, the Sixth Form still need a dedicated group of staff who will help them cope with the demands of studying and with becoming young adults

Whilst Sixth Formers are given more independence and opportunities for decision making which befits their age, we recognise that increased responsibility requires an effective support network.
At King Edward’s we pride ourselves on the pastoral and academic care available to all our students and, as a result, Sixth Formers have access to an experienced Sixth Form team of staff. They are responsible for helping the students in their care to gain the skills necessary to enter further education or the employment market as rounded, confident and successful adults. Support, guidance and chivvying are offered when the need arises. The Sixth Form Team includes:
- Head of Sixth Form: Mrs Alison Saunders
- Deputy Head of Sixth Form: Miss Elaine Bateman
- IB Co-ordinator: Dr Richard Meanwell
- Head of Careers: Mr Keith Forster
- Oxbridge Applications: Mr Stephen Pugh
- 13 Form Tutors: each responsible for a group of up to 12 students
