With pupils from over 30 different countries, King Edward's is a truly international community

The introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme has strengthened international links and there have been regular visits to the Mchinji Orphanage in Malawi, Prapen Aree Hongsakul School in Northern Thailand as well as expeditions to Nepal and Namibia.

Visiting these countries does not mean just packing a bag and catching a plane. The School groups help the communities with building projects and teaching, as well as fundraising before they leave for building materials, vehicles and essentials.

There is also a long established exchange link with Elsland Gymnasium in Reine, Germany which includes senior pupils' work experience in their respective host countries.  One of our partner schools is John Paul College in Melbourne and this involves pupil and teacher exchanges as well as acting as hosts for sports teams and choirs when they travel abroad.
