Keeping fit and healthy
A fitness suite and weights room is located in the Sports Complex.
The fitness suite is well resourced with indoor rowing machines, stationary bikes, steppers and treadmills. All these are utilised for PE and Games lessons and school activities. We also enter an indoor rowing team which competes nationally online and have a team of boys and girls that represent us at the National Indoor Rowing Championships.

Climbing
Reaching great heights
Climbing has always featured in the co-curricular at King Edward's and continues to be a very popular activity for pupils.
Since 1996, the School has had its own outdoor climbing wall, allowing the bouldering, climbing, and leading skills to be taught by qualified King Edward's staff. This has proven to be good preparation for climbing trips to Wales, Scotland and the Peak District.

Crosscountry
Crosscountry is an activity with an inter-house competition in the Spring term

There are no school matches, but if there are any very talented individuals they are entered for the District trials. If they do well they are selected for the County Championships and from that can be selected for Surrey. Much training is done individually, although it is also run as an activity on 3 days per week.
Girls' Football
A high scoring rate

Girls' football has been a great success over the past five years, claiming two national six-a-side ISFA tournaments and one plate final.
Squash
Squash Courts

We have 3 squash courts and although we don’t compete with other schools there is a house competition for both girls and boys and a popular activity choice.
Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate Frisbee (or just ‘Ultimate’ as it is called) is a growing sport at King Edward’s

It is a cross between American Football scoring (holding the ‘disc’ in an end zone) and Netball (where movement with the disc is not permitted) and is a very fast, non-contact sport played in mixed teams.
