Canoeing in the pool and on the river
The School has its own river and pool canoes which it uses to train pupils under the supervision of a BCU canoe instructor before venturing onto local rivers and estuaries.
This activity takes place indoors throughout the year, and outside in the summer when the weather warms up.

Lifesaving
A top Surrey School for Lifesaving Awards

Pupils regularly take part in examinations leading to the award of Royal Life Saving Society certificates at all levels from Rookie through to Distinction.
These courses usually run for a term, and are structured in such a way that each pupil can find their own level of expertise.

Sailing
Instruction is provided on Laser Picos and RS Feva

Sailing takes place during the summer term at the fantastic facilities of Cobner Activities Centre in the tidal waters of Chichester Harbour.
Swimming
A 25m indoor pool

King Edward’s is lucky to have its own heated 25m indoor pool in which swim training can take place before pupils take part in galas against other school teams.
Water Polo
Water Polo at King Edward’s is an up and coming sport with teams entered into the School’s Water Polo League at U19, U15 and U14 level

Water Polo is arguably one of the most physically demanding sports there is and in order to be competitive one needs to be physically fit, fast in the water and have a really competitive edge.
