Maths and Science Challenge
Maths and Science always score a resounding hit

King Edward’s School Witley regularly welcomes pupils from local preparatory and primary schools, to the “King Edward’s Maths Challenge and Science Day”, where they will compete in teams in a number of exciting projects throughout the day.
Participants need to work effectively in order to complete the tasks in the limited time available. All the activities encourage youngsters to think creatively and come up with novel solutions to problems set.
The science laboratories buzz with groups exploring exciting challenges such as producing electronic devices to test their manual dexterity, testing the chromatography of leaves or creating invisible ink. Meanwhile Maths challenges are puzzled over by all the teams during the course of the day (and many accompanying teaching staff are also tasked with unravelling the answers to the games).
