Each December, an annual Senior Citizens' Christmas Tea Party is hosted by the pupils and staff.

Senior citizens from surrounding villages and residential homes are transported to King Edward's in a convoy of minibuses, and enjoy a traditional tea, prepared and cooked by the Lower Sixth pupils who are studying Food Technology.

This annual event also gives all the Lower Sixth an opportunity to be involved in welcoming, entertaining and serving the visitors. The School choir gives a carol concert and is accompanied by musicians from the school.
