Assessments for potential scholars for entry at 11 and 13 take place in January and February for September entry.

Academic scholarships, up to 30% of the fees, may be awarded at age 11 on the basis of performance in the entrance tests. For these pupils and those who are joining at age 13, academic scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit in competitive examination and interview.

For 2013, we are also introducing a special Sixth Form scholarship for a day pupil, which may cover up to 100% of fees.

Music and Art scholarships are available at 11 and again at 13. Candidates will be expected to have succeeded in the normal entrance examinations. For Art, candidates are expected to bring a portfolio, to take a drawing test and to complete an interview.

We also offer Exhibition scholarships for Performing Arts and Sport; Sports exhibition scholarships are based on a practical assessment and evidence of county standard at least in one of the sports offered at King Edward's.

All scholarships may be augmented in case of financial hardship.
