School Life
A happy and vibrant community

School life at King Edward’s is based on the idea that building relationships – between pupils and staff and with each other – is key to academic and personal development.
The school’s seven-day ethos of pupils and staff living and learning alongside one another means that everyone, boarding and day pupil, is known as an individual, their talents are valued and utilised, and they experience challenge and responsibility at the right level.
“Pupils speak openly about the close-knit family atmosphere and their enjoyment of life as part of the school community ... they are conspicuously proud of the school and the opportunities it offers them” ISI report 2010.
