King Edward's is an academic school admitting pupils with a broad range of ability
In common with many top schools we do not participate in league tables of results, which we believe to be misleading. However, we understand our IB results to put us among the top co-educational boarding and day schools in the UK and almost all of our students proceed to a university of their choice.
Below is a breakdown of the most recent set of International Baccalaureate Diploma and (I)GCSE results together with the results of the previous years.

- Our pass rate of 98% compares with a global IB pass rate of 78%
- In 2012 our average points score per candidate was 32 (world average is 29.8)
- The average points score for 2005-2012 has been 33.75
