Pupils' Views
At King Edward's we welcome everyone who is motivated to do the IB. All should have the chance to experience such an exciting programme, and to gain such good preparation for university and beyond.

Here are a few of the views of pupils who have or are studying the IB:
Alex: 'The IB is hard work, with six subjects, CAS etc. but I'm enjoying it immensely. It is the best decision I could have made for my Sixth Form.'
Maarja: 'Universities like that you've done an Extended Essay, that you've studied a number of subjects and are able to multitask, and a good result in your IB shows that you've worked hard and are a capable student.'
Andy: 'Some universities, like Exeter, are asking for 32 points for IB compared with 3As at A Level for my course.'
Katie: 'The IB isn't only for clever people. It is not specialising in just a few subjects. I got Bs in my GCSEs, and got 31 for my Diploma, which provies it's not just for straight A students.'
Ben: 'If you've struggled with languages in the past, you could always opt for Spanish ab initio which is for complete beginners, or anyway you could do your language at standard level, which makes it less challenging.'
Holly: 'I don't think you have to be clever at all. The most important aspect is to be well organised.'
Pearl: If you are intelligent, then things get a little easier, but if you are diligent, then everything is possible.'
