Shakespeare and Cake was nothing short of fabulous! 🧁 Each and every Queen Mary House (Lower School) pupil lit up the QMH lawn with a brilliant open-air performance, bringing energy, drama and sweet cupcakes to the warm summer afternoon.
As part of a vibrant activity week, Year 7 and 8 pupils baked and decorated delicious cupcakes, took part in a stage combat workshop, and rehearsed their own Shakespeare Shorts before stepping into the spotlight to the great enjoyment and applause of an eager audience of family & friends.
The cupcakes were as delightful as the performances - a perfect blend creativity and culture.

🌊 We’re proud that King Edward’s Witley is the UK Chapter of the International Junior SeaKeepers Programme - a global initiative empowering young ocean advocates.
Our pupils have already taken part in inspiring sessions with experts like Stephen Hall from Seabed 2030, learning how ocean mapping supports marine conservation.
It’s an exciting journey that connects them with scientists worldwide and gives them the tools to make a real difference for our oceans.
Huge thanks to @seakeepers for partnering with us to bring this to life! 🌍💙

🚣♀️ During the summer term, a group of 1st and 2nd Form girls had the fantastic opportunity to try rowing for the first time at @guildfordrowingclub. It was a fun and memorable afternoon, with many pupils eager to continue the sport over the summer and into next year.
Opportunities like this reflect the continued growth of sport within our broad co-curricular programme and the value of developing links with brilliant local organisations. Our thanks to Guildford Rowing Club for a great new experience, we look forward to linking up again very soon!

This year, @charliespromisecharity was chosen as our School Charity - an organisation working to raise awareness of knife crime and create lasting change in memory of Charlie Cosser.
Our community came together through fundraising events, assemblies, and a powerful talk from Charlie’s father, Martin Cosser, earlier this year.
We were proud to welcome Martin back to Chapel recently to present a cheque - marking over £5,000 raised in support of this vital cause.
Thank you to everyone who contributed - and please do keep supporting this important initiative.

Shortly after exam season-with no sign of fatigue-Upper Sixth pupils Emily and Elena completed the entire South Downs Way: 200 km and 4,500 m of ascent in just under a week. Their mission was to support The Fountain Centre and Emerge Advocacy at Royal Surrey County Hospital.
Already raising £2,000, every penny goes directly to charities that provide emotional care for cancer patients and vital support for young people in crisis.
This challenge perfectly reflects the KESW Sixth Form ethos: resilience, ambition and compassion-flourishing beyond the classroom.

A massive congratulations to Emily and Elena-true inspirations and shining examples of King Edward’s values lived day to day! 👏
