Carnegie Book Club: A Selection of Pupil Reviews

The Carnegie Medal is the most highly esteemed prize for writers of literature for young people. Pupils from years 7-10 tracked the award this term, working alongside their teachers to appraise the competing works and speaking to other children about their experiences with their given book. House is delighted to reproduce here the Powerpoints which the pupils prepared to share their views with their peers. As a recent visitor to the School noted, reading gives us a means to become our most realised selves. The winner of the 2018 Medal was Where the World Ends by Geraldine McCaughrean.
