The inaugural ‘KESW Community Day’ on Saturday 26th June promises to be a fun day for the whole King Edward’s community. Whether you are are currently attending the School or left some years ago, we look forward to welcoming you and your friends and family for the day.
From 2pm, Upper Gurdon’s will host a ‘T20’ style fast paced cricket match between our finest Old Witleians and the current 1st XI. Across on the Astro from 4pm, join the Houses for a Summer Fete with games and stalls organised and run by the pupils to keep even the youngest members of the family engaged.
Our very own Design Technology Technician, Mr Colin Robinson, will entertain the entire family with music that will make you want to get up and dance! And not to be outdone, our Head of Estates Mr Richard Hooker, will be showing off his Clayton 1920s Steam Wagon ‘Edward VI’ at the entrance to Lower Gurdon’s.
From 6pm, relax and enjoy the sounds of our talented Music Department as they keep the entertainment going into the evening with Proms on Upper Gurdon’s.
Refreshments are available throughout the day with a food van serving delicious burgers and sausages (vegetarian options too!), a Gin & Pimm’s truck, a beer & wine bar, an ice cream van as well as KESPA run soft drinks and cake stall.
Finally, keep your memories of King Edward’s alive for years to come as we launch a new and exciting range of branded merchandise that will be available to purchase in advance or on the day.

As part of King Edward’s celebrations for Red Nose Day, all pupils were invited to take part in a fun run. On the 23rd, 24th and 25th March pupils across all the years had to run or walk between 3k and 6k on a cross country route across the school grounds with their year group....
