Globe Theatre Trip

18th September 2021

On Friday 17th September, our GCSE, IB & A-level pupils visited the Globe Theatre in London, for a performance of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. The performance marked one of the first of many since COVID restrictions allowed for theatre performances to resume.

Staff and pupils especially enjoyed inspirational performances from Nadine Higgin and Michelle Terry who are both well known for their work with Shakespeare Globe.

The Globe Theatre is a historical landmark in central London, and continues to mark the legacy of Shakespeare, offering multiple award winning performances and adaptations of famous Shakespeare works.

Our Drama Department here at King Edward’s offers wonderful opportunities for pupils to be immersed in drama and theatre, perform in school productions, and go on plenty of theatre trips.

A big thank you to Mrs Cleaves, Director of Drama, and the Drama Department staff for an amazing trip.
