A warm welcome from the King Edward’s Admissions Team and thank you for considering our school for your daughter or son.

We aim to make your admissions experience at King Edward’s as simple as possible and will be here to support you through every step of your child’s journey to senior school, We understand that choosing your son or daughter’s senior school is one of the most important decisions your family will take together. You will discover that we are as keenly focused on your child’s future as you are.

We will be welcoming visitors to our next Open Events on these dates in the autumn:

  • 13+ Open Morning, Friday 25th September
  • 11+ Open Morning, Friday 2nd October
  • 6th Form Open Evening, Wednesday 7th October
  • 11+ Open Morning, Saturday 10th October

Usually lasting around 90-minutes your visit will include a meeting with our Head, Mrs Joanna Wright, alongside opportunities to see our diverse and exciting school community in action and a chance to meet and talk with our pupils as they take you on a tour of our excellent facilities. Pupils typically join our King Edward’s in Year 7 (11+), Year 9 (13+) or Sixth Form (16+) although we also accept pupils for entry into other years. Please select a link below for more information on our admissions process for UK and International Pupils.

British Biology Olympiad Success 🧫🧬🧪

An excellent recent performance by KESW in the British Biology Olympiad. In an extremely challenging competition designed to stretch pre-university students well beyond A Level standard through evaluating advanced problem-solving, Leonor and Anais (both Lower 6th) received a high commendation and a silver award respectively; we are proud to share that this places Anais in the top 15% of entrants nationally in this competition. Congratulations to both! 💫

Sixth Formers at King Edward’s benefit from a comprehensive higher education and counselling programme, including a bespoke Early Applications Programme for students aiming for Oxbridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses at university.

Our extensive 1:1 support and guidance, helps pupils navigate their aspirations, whether that involves applying to a selective UK or, increasingly, an international university, pursuing an apprenticeship, entering a school-leaver program, or planning a gap year.

Our pupils are encouraged to explore the widest range of higher education disciplines and their inquisitive approach is reflected in the breadth of programmes our leavers enjoy.

Competing against 45 boats over two demanding weekends, Joe and his helm Gregory were selected as first reserves for the Cadet Class BR team after showing great skill across a wide range of sailing conditions. 🌊💨

We wish Joe the very best as he begins GBR squad training ahead of the championships this July.
