On Friday 14th October, King Edward’s welcomed Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester to officially open our Exhibition Hall, which is home to a new Library, learning hub and café. Greeted by pupils and staff, Her Royal Highness stopped to talk with boys and girls on her way to the Exhibition Hall. Before unveiling the brass plaque, The Duchess spoke of how much she enjoyed her visits to King Edward’s and of the incredible opportunities and special environment the school affords its pupils. Following a tour of the new building, Her Royal Highness signed the visitor’s book, before proceeding to the Chapel for the Admissions Day Ceremony. The Exhibition Hall will provide exciting opportunities for research and independent study, a central place of welcome to the school and a relaxing space for dynamic and collaborative learning.
