I was born in South Africa and grew up as an Afrikaans farm girl in central SA.
What's your favourite thing about working at King Edward's Witley?
I love to be involve with different aspects of the school. I like diversity of our school, as I feel part of our diversity.
What are your hobbies?
I am triathlete and part of the GB age group team. I have won the Europeans Championship in 2021 and 2022 came 4th in my age group at the World Championships in Abu Dhabi. This year I have qualified to go to Europeans and World Championships.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Vet, but at my first year at University in South Africa I worked at a Saturday school for underprivileged kids and found my passion for teaching and changed careers.
What is the funniest thing a pupil has ever said to you?
As a young teacher in a previous school, I was explaining a concept to a pupil that just didn’t understand, so his friend interrupted me and said don’t worry Miss I will explain it to him, I can speak dumb.
What's your favourite book/movie/song?
Coolrunnings (Jamican bobsledge team).
