King Edwards Transport Routes

King Edward’s operates a number of school bus routes, which are accessible to all King Edward’s pupils.

  • The bus services use the Schools’ 17-seater minibuses and travel company  Safeguard Coaches’ coaches.
  • All drivers are experienced and qualified bus drivers. They may be staff members or Safeguard drivers.
  • All minibus routes run Monday to Friday.
  • The service needs to be pre-booked by parents on a termly basis, however, ad-hock journeys can be booked at short notice subject to availability.
  • There are WhatsApp groups for each route run by King Edward’s for parents and a School contact, in case of any schedule changes, due, for example, to illness, weather or heavy traffic. Safeguard Coaches also run a text message service for similar issues.
  • All parents pre-book via email to Mrs Alison Butler on butlera@kesw.org or call +44 (0)1428 686700.
