🇬🇧🥇WIN for KESW! National Indoor Ski Championships.
On Monday the 29th of July, the KESW Ski Team ventured back to The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead for the second time in two weeks. This time for the ESSKIA indoor championships. After a strong second the previous week, the team consisting of Owen and Ethan Chandler, Edward Jacob and Sophia Bulkeley wanted to go one better than the previous Monday and set about trying to win the mixed team event.
Two runs down two different courses meant there was little room for error and after inspecting the two courses carefully they set about the challenge. Everyone held their nerve and delivered clean, fast, and consistent runs to take the win by a considerable margin.
There was also individual success to celebrate:
Ethan Chandler - 2nd in mixed category
Owen Chandler - 3rd in mixed category
Sophia Bulkeley - 4th and 1st female in mixed category
Edward Jacob - 13th in mixed category
A notable mention for Ed, who has shown great improvement over recent races and his hard work and training is showing results on the race course.
This marks the end of the indoor race season and the team take a summer break from Schools racing and return in the Autumn term for the Surrey Schools Championships and the ESSKIA outdoor championships.
The 4 skiers don’t take a break from training, or racing, and are still very active on the National race circuit picking up results and lowering their national seed points. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ON YOUR DEDICATION & INCREDIBLE SUCCESS 🎉

Sports Day returns on Wednesday 1 July from 1.30pm–4.00pm. ⚡
One of the highlights of the summer term and a fitting way to round off another successful sporting year, the afternoon will see pupils representing their Houses across a range of track and field events, competing for valuable House points and the chance to etch their names into the school record books.
Sports Day at King Edward’s is truly a celebration of participation, resilience and the enjoyment of sport, with every performance, costume and support from the sidelines contributing to a memorable afternoon for the whole school community.
Which House will come out on top? 🏆

Life in full colour, captured in motion.
Lower School brought back a much-loved tradition - the QMH Colour Run, a burst of energy, movement, and community.
Beyond the colour and celebration, the event proudly raised funds in support of @surreycoalition, helping to make a meaningful difference.

🧽 What a great way to cool down on a hot afternoon! Pupils from all years lined up this lunchtime in the eager anticipation of giving some of our prefects and staff ‘a right good soaking’ - in support of our annual School charity @surreycoalition
Great humour, generosity of spirit and a LOT of laughter from all. 😎
Thanks to everyone who joined in and donated so generously #KESW #charityevent #surreycoalition
Ensuring the dynamic presence of King Edward`s was fully felt across mainland Europe last week, SPAIN for our second group of Queen Mary House (Year 7 & 8) pupils.
If a picture paints a thousand words, there`s a veritable library to enjoy in this video! From watersports to waterparks, from Girona to Barcelona, this was an action packed trip full of joy and laughter... and possibly blue ice lollies.
Our huge thanks to our fantastic staff for their kindness, humour and tremendous energy.
Childhood memories are made of this...

🇫🇷 A brilliant, action packed schedule for a group of our Queen Mary House (Year 7 & 8) pupils as they headed across the Channel to France with a side order of Belgium this week. 🇧🇪
From Bruges chocolate museum to Passchendaele museum, watersports, lunch on beach with sand castle competition and sand yachting, to a theme park, a little rain most definitely did not stop play!
Great energy, humour and a ‘get stuck in’ approach prevailed… fuelled by compulsory poulet frites & waffles, naturally! 😋
A huge thank you to our amazing staff who have made this week such brilliant fun for our youngest pupils.
We can’t wait to welcome you all back later today!
