The best way to experience what life is like at King Edwardโ€™s is to see it first-hand. We would recommend arranging a visit to our schoolย  to experience a personal, tailor-made visit which will take into account your son or daughterโ€™s interests and will give you an excellent feel for all our school has to offer.

Usually lasting around 90 minutes your visit will include a meeting with our Head, Mrs Joanna Wright, opportunities see the school community in action and a chance to meet and talk with our pupils as they take you on a tour of our excellent facilities.

This morning, our community came together for a Service of Remembrance to honour the sacrifice and service of those who have defended our freedoms and our way of life.

A poignant reading of the names of the Old Witleans who died in World Wars I and II was followed by a moving rendition of โ€˜The Last Postโ€™ performed by one of our excellent music scholars, signalling the start of a two-minute silence broken by the โ€˜Reveilleโ€™. A thought provoking service was led by Reverend James Radcliffe, with uplifting and reflective choral performances from the King Edwardโ€™s choir.

Our final hymn together, โ€˜I vow to thee my country:

โ€˜The love that never falters,
The love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted
The final sacrifice!

โ€˜At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

Drawing on his experience at the highest levels of government, Sir Jeremy reflected on the UKโ€™s enduring influence in tackling global challenges - from European security and democracy to migration, trade and climate change. In vibrant conversation, our pupils respectfully posed insightful and challenging questions, exchanged opinions, and acquitted themselves admirably.

Interactions like these are invaluable: thought provoking, strengthening political and social literacy, and encouraging critical engagement with the world beyond the classroom.
