We are delighted to share that King Edward’s Witley has been selected as a finalist in the Education Choices Awards 2026, recognising our commitment to providing ‘opportunities in Art and Music’ and ‘working with local charities’.

Our Music and Arts programming continues to expand and provide a wide range of intentionally inclusive and aspirational opportunities. We offer regular intimate ‘At Home’ recitals and ‘Open Mic’ evenings to larger School Concerts including over 20 bands, choirs, ensembles and orchestras.
Our Art department benefits from three well-equipped, airy, studios and deliberately offers broad artistic opportunity. Inspired by our Artist in Residence, new art and textiles clubs have grown very quickly in momentum this year, nurturing a love of creativity in our youngest pupils.

Enduring values of kindness, compassion and authentic connection underpin our support of local charities, a core School activity. Selected by our pupil-led charity committee, in 2025/26 we welcomed the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People as our annual School Charity, following our partnership with Charlie’s Promise.  The committee also arrange a wide variety of fundraising activities at School, including charity runs, bake sales and non-uniform days. Additionally, KESW has offered very significant support to local charity Stripey Stork, who collect and redistribute children’s items to families in Surrey who are experiencing hardship. Over 200 members of our School community donated toys, books, games and other gifts through engagement with pupils, staff and parents.

Thank you to @education_choices_magazine for choosing King Edward’s Witley and we wish our fellow finalists the very best of luck for the finals next week!

British Biology Olympiad Success 🧫🧬🧪

An excellent recent performance by KESW in the British Biology Olympiad. In an extremely challenging competition designed to stretch pre-university students well beyond A Level standard through evaluating advanced problem-solving, Leonor and Anais (both Lower 6th) received a high commendation and a silver award respectively; we are proud to share that this places Anais in the top 15% of entrants nationally in this competition. Congratulations to both! 💫
