15th October 2021
From Friday 15th October to Sunday 17th October, some of our 5th Form pupils set out on their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition to the South Downs.
As part of their Silver award, pupils walked a total of 45km over three days, and set up camp at night time in the beautiful countryside. Despite the stormy conditions, all the boys and girls powered through magnificently!
The Silver DofE award requires pupils to complete six months of volunteering, and a further total of of nine months of physical and skill based voluntary activities.
Thank you very much to Miss Condy, Head of Religious Studies and Elizabeth Housemistress, and to Dr Mir, Teacher of Mathematics, who both led the expedition and to the pupils for their amazing perseverance in successfully completing the expedition.
