A learning experience in our week one cricket fixtures
18th April 2022
Five cricket fixtures on Saturday kicked off the beginning of the busy cricket term. With three teams at home and two away, Gordon’s presented to be competitive within all matches in the summer sun. Although the fixtures did not go our way, our pupils displayed some excellent cricket, with some promising individual performances. From the U15’s to the U12’s, pupils were able to participate in both batting and bowling and practicing their skills in a competitive setting. A great run out for all our players with hopefully lots learnt for future games.
The Lower 6th had a lecture last week from Professor Amelia Hadfield, Head of Politics at Surrey University, who spoke about the Extended Project Qualification and skills needed for university and beyond! Many pupils at KESW go on to complete the EPQ which allows them to have a ‘unique calling card’, as Professor Hadfield put it, which can allow pupils to stand out in this very competitive world. She also discussed how the research skills they have developed so far on the course will give them valuable experience to prepare them for University study. #EPQ #BridewellFamily...
