A final dot of the quill 🪶
Just as our annual Admissions Day Service marks an important milestone at the beginning of every School journey at King Edward’s, so the Gaudy Service marks an important final dot of the quill; a formal celebration of the journeys and achievements of all our departing Upper Sixth pupils.
For some the next chapter begins with university or an exciting apprenticeship, for others vocational training, a gap year or a well informed leap directly into the world of work. Whichever path, all are destined for great things, equipped with strong principles and values which will shape their lives ahead.
Class of 2026, we are incredibly proud of the each and every one of you and look forward to welcoming you back as our newest alumni very soon.
Until then… Fly high.

🏆 Congratulations to EDWARD HOUSE, winners of the Cock House Cup 2026!
Perhaps the most hotly contested competition of the year, this cup represents individual and collective excellence across all areas of School life. House events including Drama, Sport and Music competitions all attract Cock House points, as does going above and beyond through exceptional work, effort and citizenship.
This win marked a hat-trick for Edward House and a brilliant finale to a splendid 10 years as housemaster for Mr Tobias supported, as always, by the wonderful Mrs T.
The House system at KESW promotes a strong sense of belonging for every pupil. As a full, weekly or flexi boarder, or as a day pupil, our supportive houses are at heart of School life, where lifelong friendships are made, opportunities are explored and where every pupil is valued for who they are.

🏆COMMENDED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL OF THE YEAR 2026 - SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT🏆
We are delighted to share that King Edward’s Witley has been officially commended in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2026 for Sporting Achievement.
From individual trophies, to House competitions, from specialist sports to national arenas, we provide opportunities to develop skills or achieve personal best, where pupils are supported to enjoy the simple pleasure of taking part in activities or work together for collective competitive glory.
The sports programme at King Edward’s is extensive. Our core sports - cricket, football, hockey, and netball - each have a dedicated Head in addition to our Director of Sport and Head of Girls’ Games. Over 100 school teams benefit from competitive and recreational opportunities in our core and a broader range of sports, including athletics, golf, rugby, swimming and tennis, during the week and at weekends, with a extensive touring programme being offered to encourage our pupils to experience and enjoy different sporting environments.
We are incredibly proud of everything our pupils achieve and this commendation reflects the collective effort of so many people across our school. A huge thank you to all who contribute to making sport at King Edward’s Witley so exceptional.
Proud to be Team KESW!

🇬🇧🥇WIN for KESW! National Indoor Ski Championships.
On Monday the 29th of July, the KESW Ski Team ventured back to The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead for the second time in two weeks. This time for the ESSKIA indoor championships. After a strong second the previous week, the team consisting of Owen and Ethan Chandler, Edward Jacob and Sophia Bulkeley wanted to go one better than the previous Monday and set about trying to win the mixed team event.
Two runs down two different courses meant there was little room for error and after inspecting the two courses carefully they set about the challenge. Everyone held their nerve and delivered clean, fast, and consistent runs to take the win by a considerable margin.
There was also individual success to celebrate:
Ethan Chandler - 2nd in mixed category
Owen Chandler - 3rd in mixed category
Sophia Bulkeley - 4th and 1st female in mixed category
Edward Jacob - 13th in mixed category
A notable mention for Ed, who has shown great improvement over recent races and his hard work and training is showing results on the race course.
This marks the end of the indoor race season and the team take a summer break from Schools racing and return in the Autumn term for the Surrey Schools Championships and the ESSKIA outdoor championships.
The 4 skiers don’t take a break from training, or racing, and are still very active on the National race circuit picking up results and lowering their national seed points. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ON YOUR DEDICATION & INCREDIBLE SUCCESS 🎉

Life in full colour, captured in motion.
Lower School brought back a much-loved tradition - the QMH Colour Run, a burst of energy, movement, and community.
Beyond the colour and celebration, the event proudly raised funds in support of @surreycoalition, helping to make a meaningful difference.

Great humour, generosity of spirit and a LOT of laughter from all. 😎
