INTERSTELLAR 10 comes to KING EDWARD`S, WITLEY!

Virtuosic and versatile, international organ star ROGER SAYER was chosen by composer HANS ZIMMER to create the prominent organ role for CHRISTOPHER NOLAN`s blockbusting film INTERSTELLAR. Since the release of the movie 10 years ago, the music from Interstellar has developed a huge following, introducing the organ to many audiences for the first time.

Interstellar follows the drama and intense emotions of the story line interweaving the main themes from the movie including Cornfield Chase, Stay, and No Time for Caution in one continuous captivating performance.

We are absolutely thrilled to be part of Roger Sayer`s acclaimed GLOBAL TOUR with a one night only experience where Roger will share his experience of working with Zimmer and Nolan before playing his own unique and extraordinary version of the Interstellar soundtrack.

This short film captures a pivotal moment in our journey at King Edward`s Witley—achieving the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction.

More than a badge, this recognition marked a shift. It catalysed the founding of the City of London Youth Natural Environment Board (YNEB)—a bold, youth-led platform for driving environmental governance from the ground up.

In collaboration with Mr Simon Lightman, Sustainability Lead, we are especially proud of the leadership shown by Jacob Sprake and Olivier Hinds, whose clarity of vision and commitment to systems change continue to inspire. Their work has helped shape YNEB into a space where young people are not just heard—but empowered to act, challenge, and lead.

At King Edward`s we’ve committed to going beyond symbolic sustainability. This film reflects that—showcasing how a school community, when trusted and energised, can spark something far greater than itself.

We are delighted to share that the wonderfully talented Mr Theodore Frazer, (baritone) will accompanied by Mr James Perkins on the organ performing a short concert at King Edward’s as part of the `Year of the Organ` run by the Royal College of Organists.

The concert is at the KESW Chapel starting at 5pm and lasting around 35 mins.

No booking is required, entry is free and all are welcome, so please do pop in and join us for a real musical treat.

“I wanted to say thank you for the opportunity for our children to explore the world of work. There are so many roles that didn’t exist when a good number of parents left school. It makes it hard for us to help guide. Meanwhile, traditional jobs are still invaluable but not always considered.

My daughter is a police cadet and from the experience is now determined to go to university to study Criminology, with the ambition of joining the force.

Her ballet shoes sit alongside her police boots, reminding us that there are no limits”.
