Our distance learning programme

Our pupils’ welfare is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we have spent time re-thinking our online teaching methods so that our pupils spend less time in front of a screen and more time developing their skills and knowledge. We have achieved this by offering on-demand lessons, with tasks to be completed and uploaded. The importance of maintaining our pupils’ daily routine remains a priority, but we have also recognised the importance of the physical and mental well-being of our pupils and we understand that not everybody’s home situation is the same.

Below are a number of examples of our new methods of teaching; please click through to experience our distance learning.

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank you and the whole school team for all the support you’ve given as a family over the past 3 months.  I personally haven’t heard of another school where there has been such open, regular (and 2-way!) communication with parents and the imaginative on-line curriculum and continuation of co-curricular activities to keep the 5th Form engaged has far surpassed anything we could have hoped for.  Thank you all so much – we know it must have created an awful lot of extra work for you all and we wanted to let you know how much we have appreciated it.  Yet another reason (if more were needed!) why we remain so pleased that Harry is a student at King Edward’s.
