Our distance learning programme

Our pupils welfare is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we are re-thinking our online teaching methods so that pupils spend less time in front of a screen and more time developing their skills and knowledge. We will achieve this by offering on-demand lessons, with tasks to be completed and uploaded. The importance of maintaining our pupils daily routine is still a priority, but we are also recognising the importance of the physical and mental well-being of our pupils’ and we understand that not everybody’s home situation is the same.

Below are a number of examples of our new methods of teaching, please click through to experience our distance learning.

We feel that KESW is doing a brilliant job – both in terms of lessons and co-curricular.  All of the information for parents is clearly set out and the communication from all areas has been outstanding.  We really like the idea of the certificate and feel our children have been equipped very well to work independently; they seem motivated and engaged in all of their lessons and there is a good balance.  I know that this doesn’t happen without a huge amount of work from all of the staff involved and we’d like to thank all of you for making the best of a difficult time.
