Essentially pupils will visit professional productions and work alongside professionally trained practitioners in workshop theatre sessions in addition to their regular lessons.
IB Theatre Studies: The Theatre course emphasises the importance of working individually and as a member of an ensemble. Students are encouraged to develop the organisational and technical skills needed to express themselves creatively in theatre. There is no formal written exam. Assessment is achieved through the presentation of coursework portfolios and oral presentation.
There are regular trips to the theatre in the locality and London. Pupils are given opportunities to act and direct in the annual House Drama competition, Whole school productions and the annual junior department play. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
