Involvement and support

One of the distinctive features of King Edward’s School is the friendly and open nature of our community which includes pupils, parents, staff and governors as well as past pupils, parents and staff.

There is a thriving and active alumni society (Old Witleians) and Parents' Association (KESPA) and there are also close links with the local community and schools through our outreach programme.

The School’s excellent facilities are made available to local groups and can be hired for functions of a variety of different types. The Annual Vivartis Arts Festival, now in its 14th year, is very much a regional event that attracts visitors from all over the South East of England and it is a cooperative venture in association with Surrey Sculpture Society. In 2009 over 6000 visitors attended the Art Exhibition and Sculpture trail and this included 1500 children from local schools.
