18th-24th May

This week’s Team of the Week goes to the Girls’ U15A Cricket team who comprehensively defeated a spirited St Edmund’s side on Tuesday afternoon in a 20-over hard ball match.

Electing to bowl first was an inspired decision by captain Lillie as our team bowled and fielded magnificently allowing St Edmund’s to score just 71 runs off the 20 overs. The wickets were spread around the team.  The precision bowling of Lillie, Emily, Phoebe, Tilly and Jess, as well as some excellent catches in the field by Zoe and Jess set the tone for a completely dominant display.

It was then our turn to bat with Zoe and Jess opening the batting.  After a confident start, Zoe recorded the highest number of runs in the afternoon by hitting a magnificent 50. She was closely followed by Phoebe, who sadly had to retire due to an injured ankle.

This was a fantastic team effort with each of the team members playing a crucial part in the win. The hard work and dedication to developing our cricket is really starting to pay off.

Well done to all the girls involved.
