Slapton Sands Geography Trip

During this week, our A-level Geography students visited Slapton Sands in Devon for a field trip as part of their studies.
Throughout the week, they have taken part in a 10km coastal walk investigating coastal processes and management, and have investigated water and carbon cycles. The pupils also did a super job collecting beach profiles.
Despite the week being cold and wet, they have been amazing – getting stuck into all the data collection activities and working hard in the evening classroom sessions to analyse the data collected during the daytime.
A huge thank you to the amazing FSC staff and to Guildford County School who, in order to benefit from all the excellent tuition given by a field study tutor, we joined forces with for the duration.
