Golf takes place throughout the year on a Wednesday afternoon

Whether you are a beginner or more experienced, it is an activity all pupils can choose.

The School has a corporate membership of Milford Golf Club and an association with West Surrey Golf Club. Both courses are two miles away from the School in the beautiful Surrey Hills area of the county.

Opportunities for beginners to be coached by Milford Club professional Paul Creamer are offered and the more experienced golfers play on the course under the direction of a member of staff.

On Sundays small groups are able to play full rounds at Milford. Promising players also have the opportunity to join both clubs as junior members at very favourable rates.

During the year there are several internal competitions, including an inter-house event and in June the major School championship takes place. This includes categories for Pupils, Old Witleians, Parents, and staff. In 2010 there were 60 competitors.

Although golf is arranged mainly as a recreational activity it is hoped to commence inter-school fixtures in 2011 and for the School to enter teams in various Independent School competitions.
